The Black Max is made from high-tension Technora, a proprietary aramid fiber weave with 8x the strength of steel, with a Mylar backing, exhibiting a soft feel underhand yet extreme resistance to pulling, warping, and wear. The Remo Black Max also features Remo’s high-tension Duralock counterhoop for improved seating and intonation across the head.
