Heavier construction and a more adjustable clamp, so it holds the angle you set it to under repeated use instead of sagging. That is what separates a rack you gig with from one you practise with.
Standard 10 hole diatonics, and it accommodates a wider range of body sizes than a basic wire rack.
That is the design intent. The neck yoke spreads the weight rather than resting it on one point.
Matthias Hohner started making harmonicas in Trossingen, Germany in 1857, and the company has made more of them than anyone else since. The reason a Hohner turns up in the hands of blues players, buskers and session musicians is not nostalgia, it is that the reed plates are consistent from one instrument to the next and replacement parts stay available for models that have been in production for decades.
