Standard 10 hole diatonic harmonicas. It will not hold a full size chromatic such as the 270 Super Chromonica.
Yes, the harmonica slides in and out of the cradle without removing the rack from your neck, which matters when a set moves between keys.
The rack adjusts to bring the harmonica to mouth height and angle. Set it once for your posture and it stays put.
Matthias Hohner started making harmonicas in Trossingen, Germany in 1857, and the company has made more of them than anyone else since. The reason a Hohner turns up in the hands of blues players, buskers and session musicians is not nostalgia, it is that the reed plates are consistent from one instrument to the next and replacement parts stay available for models that have been in production for decades.
