The CAD Audio D88 is a large diaphragm SuperCardioid dynamic kick drum microphone. It is purpose-built for drum duty, handling high SPL up close while rejecting bleed from the rest of the kit.

It covers 20 Hz – 17 kHz with a supercardioid pickup pattern on a dynamic element, keeping the source in focus while pushing room noise and bleed to the background. Sensitivity is rated at -65 dBV (0.56mV) @ 1Pa, and it handles peaks up to >150dB, so loud sources will not push it into distortion. It is voiced for the job: mount it, gain it up, and the kit sounds like a record.
